Any team is only as good as the sum of its parts. Each member brings something different and we all totally buy into the core principals of Butterflydayz.
Steve ("Nick")
I think someone once said “if you find a job you really love you’ll never work another day” – I fully understand what they mean now.
I’m truly humbled by the love and support we get from our group of clients and their families for what we do. This will never be taken for granted and together with our team, we strive to provide more and better opportunities.
Ellie
I started as a volunteer at Butterflydayz while studying Health and Social Care at college. I took an interest in support work and decided to work alongside my grandparents once I qualified. It’s a joy to support the clients with their activities and to see their enthusiasm.
I’m very happy here and I can’t imagine myself ever wanting to do anything else. Everyone gets along so well and I enjoy each and every day.
Karen
As a mother of a son with severe learning disabilities, I’ve experienced the care system, what it offers and the challenges parents face. During the 2020 lockdown I, like many others, reflected on the future and what it offered and I decided that I wanted to use my experience, not only as a mother but a qualified carer, to develop a small day project, the type of which I’d want to use as a parent.
Angie
Angie is here for our clients not only so they can experience the pleasure of interacting with a well behaved rescue dog but also because shes so cute. Who doesn’t love a dog that’s affectionate and wants to have a fuss made of her ?
